More Proofreading

Posted by Joel Heck on Friday, October 9, 2015
I have now proofread 600 pages, and the result is one more page and about 1,500 more words. That length has been added in two ways. First, I have continued to read the diary of Warren Lewis during 1921, while he is serving in Sierra Leone with the R.A.S.C. Whenever he gets a letter from either his father or his brother, I note that letter and its comments. Eventually I will be adding lots of information about Warren, but at this point I am only adding information relative to his father or brother. Second, when I proofread (dull work, to be sure), I look for names and places that have few or no details, search the Internet for more information (such as the qualifications or occupations of speakers at the Socratic Club), and then add some information that I have found.

I have decided to include below almostall of the Spotlights that I have posted thus far, since they are often important, but little known, events in the life of C. S. Lewis. That file appears below, in case some readers have missed some of the previous postings. There are seven postings in that file, and I invite people to submit a candidate for the next posting.

The file that appears below lists all works of C. S. Lewis in chronological order (now 528 in number) in the location where they were first published or delivered (if spoken) as far as I am able to determine. Corrections are welcome. This version, slightly revised and added on May 13, 2020, includes a corrected date for "Transposition" on June 9, 1946.
