One Thousand Pages!

Posted by Joel Heck on Friday, March 17, 2017
I have now completed the proofreading of one thousand pages, out of the 1,141 total number. The pace has accelerated as I near the completion of this task (plus I'm on Spring Break). In these last one hundred pages (completed just four days after the previous upload), I have italicized all occurrences of the word "viva" in any of its forms, a word which refers to interviews with graduating students, capitalized throughout the document both words in the phrase "The Kilns," dropped a lot of appearances of the phrase "in this year" as redundant, arranged some underlinings to be accurate (for example, underlining Jack or Warren only once on a given date), and rearranged some items within a given date to reflect the probable order of events on that date. In addition, I have added some publication dates for books and some biographical information about various people who intersected with C. S. Lewis, as I have done in previous iterations of this proofreading.

I have decided to include below almostall of the Spotlights that I have posted thus far, since they are often important, but little known, events in the life of C. S. Lewis. That file appears below, in case some readers have missed some of the previous postings. There are seven postings in that file, and I invite people to submit a candidate for the next posting.

The file that appears below lists all works of C. S. Lewis in chronological order (now 528 in number) in the location where they were first published or delivered (if spoken) as far as I am able to determine. Corrections are welcome. This version, slightly revised and added on May 13, 2020, includes a corrected date for "Transposition" on June 9, 1946.
